CherylWelcome!

Berkeley Lab’s Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Management has seen tremendous changes at the Lab since we hosted an event like this three years ago.  While our research continues to focus on fundamental science, new programs have been created to bridge the gap between basic and applied research.  I look forward to sharing with you some of our new activities as well as our commercialization successes.

While there will be numerous opportunities to talk with our researchers throughout the day, if you would like us to set up a one-on-one meeting in advance, we will try our best to do so.

Thank you for joining us.

Best regards,

Cheryl Fragiadakis

PaulI am delighted to welcome you to the 2011 Berkeley Lab Energy Innovation Showcase. We are proud to present a sampling of our cutting edge energy research aimed at developing scientific solutions for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction.

Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to learn about the cross-disciplinary approaches we are taking to address the challenges facing the nation and meet many of our scientists whose research is focused on biofuels, energy efficiency, batteries, solar to fuel, or carbon capture and sequestration. At the end of the day, we will have a poster and networking session showcasing many of our licensable technologies in these areas. We hope that this event provides a forum where we can strengthen our ability to partner in delivering innovative solutions for a carbon-neutral energy future. We also look forward to learning more about your interests during your visit.

We look forward to seeing you on May 20, 2011 at Berkeley Lab.

Best regards,

Paul Alivisatos
